Probably the most prolific cat eliminator in our organization is showing his stuff! Thanks for all you do Russ.

We had a huge turnout at Livermoredaze in July for the tater cannon shooting gallery and melon cannon.

Nutsack got one! well more than one, but check this pic and story ....
It was a cool spring evening around dusk or so. I was patroling for feral cats, as they like to come out near dusk, since during the daylight they see their buddies disaapearing. After about a half hour, I pulled down an alley, and what did I spy, a feral cat sitting near an abandoned house. I put on my camo, as I needed to get closer for a sure shot. I stood next to a tree, and waited for the feral to move into my shooting alley. Well as the feral moved into the shooting alley, I aimed but it was dark enough I couldn't see the sights on my gun. Since the feral wasn't spooked, he sat there as I let my eyes adjust to the darkness. After about 5 minutes, my eyes adjusted and I was able to see well enough to shoot. As I prepared to shoot, someone came by pulling a wagon, as it bounced across the tracks, it gave me enough cover noise to shoot and not be heard. I pulled the trigger and the feral took one thru the vitals, and died on the spot. another successfull hunt for the good guys.

The reverend responds:
While no good can come from the loss of a pet, it is this writers humble opinion that the responsibility and accountability for each and every pet rests entirely on the owner. It is a tough life for animals- they have to contend with autos, diseases, other animals among other trials while out of human contact- the pet owner who allows or encourages pets to roam has no respect for said pet and is responsible for any troubles encountered. This notion where we must outlaw leghold traps or penalize someone for killing these animals is ludicrous. If you want a pet then it is YOUR responsibilty to ensure the pet is kept in a safe haven, if this means keeping the pet indoors then keep it indoors! As a matter of fact there is a FEDERAL law which addresses this. In effect this law states that it is unlawful for anyone to place or cause to be placed ANY non-indigenous species into the wild- a cat is not indigenous to the united states.
So every time someone lets old puss outside to play they are in direct violation of this statute - the reporter on this article- molly hottle- should have done a bit more research before commiting to print- this trap set in the road ditch was not intended for a rabbit- rabbits are not trapped in this manner- this appears to me to be a personal vendetive by molly against trapping and trappers in general. Report the facts molly, sensationalism journalism may be encouraged by your paper but to blatently distort facts to skew public opinion is despicable
Slapaho says fuckin A Rev!

Food or something, for thought,
Got to thinking today- sometimes it is best if I don't- you be the judge- What forces are are work here gentlemen? This is a phenomena I have personally observed over the years whether I was hunting ,fishing or standing in shit waiting for someone to tell me to move. I am a man, and as such don't hesitate to break wind, Sometimes I can attribute the odiferous results to diet, but try as I might, I cannot explain why, as soon as I step one wadered foot into a duck pond my farts smell like marsh, or as soon as I gut a deer my farts smell like gutshot- the chemistry behind this escapes me. If I were to skin a cat, do you suppose my farts should take on the odor of pussy? I have not skinned a cat so I don't know - perhaps there is a government grant available to research this. Anybody want to check up on this? Wingie? You have brought a tear to many an eye- what are your thoughts? The reverend withbeer baited breath awaits

Editorial from Rev
With pheasant hunting in full swing and large numbers of bird hunters afoot In my home state- many hunters are encountering feral cats in their travels- bird numbers, according to my own observations, seem to be a bit higher than last year- this, I figure, is due to a poor harvest opening weekend- farmers were behind in corn harvest and the weather was pretty shitty- I also believe that since we went online last November, we have awakened many hunter and non-hunters to the facts of cat predation on the bird numbers- those of you who have taken our stance to heart have been out all year long with a keen eye out for ferals, knowing full well, as do we, that without a reduction in feral numbers, an increase in bird populations is impossible- few professional organizations will hang their balls out and ally themselves with our cause- why? It is because they are chicken shits that's why- they wrongfully believe that to publicly address the feral issue would be tantamount to financial suicide- we have, in one years time, signed up professional people, women as well as men, white collar, blue collar and maybe a few rednecked individuals- a entire cross section of peeps who, irregardless of life station, recognize that to do nothing about ferals is akin to wholesale breeding and releasing of cats into nature- - we know there are those who subscribe to the shoot, shovel, shut-up mentality - this is ok for them but we deem it necessary to go a step or two further to ensure the viability of nature's balance. Our message is balls out- our actions are balls out- where do you wear yours?
Reverend, president chaiokitty.com

Did ya see the article from Galveston Texas? chaiokitty.com fully supports this Galveston Tx court decision! The liberals thought they were going to kick our ass.....not so! Your membership dues were part of his defense fund! Just search the key words. A huge victory for us who believe in restoring the balance! We applaud the bird lover who killed the bird killer in Texas, all of those feral cat supporting organizations should undersatand that the majority of people don't like cats killing things other than mice in the house....!!!!!!!!!!
Personally, I like to use the poison, it's effective, cheap, doesn't shit on the carpet or scratch the furniture!

We have all heard of certain irrefutable laws concerning how one thing or another is supposed to react when a certain force or action is applied- or an event which HAS TO follow certain RULES - I.e. Newton’s law concerning motion or certain laws of physics which will dictate the outcome of any event under the control of said laws-
One of these laws we hear about is that a cat- dropped from any height will ALWAYS land on its feet- another is that a slice of bread, buttered on one side will ALWAYS land butter side down- the question today is-- if two such laws are thrown into opposition against one another- which one will win and will this be a constant result or will chance overrule when two such laws are place in opposition of each other
Say for instance a slice of bread, buttered on one side is stapled or tied to the back of a cat butter side up and the cat/buttered bread combination is then dropped from a height- which law will prevail- will the law which requires that the bread will land butter side down win or will the rule which says the cat will land on it’s feet prevail? Or will neither one win? This very question was tested by one inquisitive individual of my acquaintance- unfortunately, the height from which this test was carried out proved to be too great and he could not tell from the mess on the pavement which law had won out - if anyone out there has tried this - please let us know of the results- curiosity has killed all our cats and all we have left is the buttered bread.
We have a high concentration of members in North Central/Western Iowa-Let's get out and do our duty and see if we can make an impact on the DNR count of pheasant population this year!
Nesting season is upon us -eliminate the threat and restore the balance!

I have long feared something of this very nature occurring- I have in the past wondered aloud to my compatriots that this genetic mutation was only a slip of the DNA away- once this happened and the world's most efficient predator developed wings, nothing- NOTHING would survive- imagine if you will, the stealth , cunning, night vision and the kill for sport attitude of cats coupled with flight capabilities would make all creatures- humans included, in serious danger from both ground and air attacks. Now it seems the worst case scenario is present day fact. Not only has this cat developed wings- but it has coupled with an owl's wings, which have silent flight characteristics- no good can come of this gentlemen, sure, for a while we can shoot all we see but somewhere, somebody will harbor a few- selectively breeding them for color and conformation- black cat with the wings of an owl would, I suspect, be the twisted goal, the goal of some sadistic malevolent, building his forces of the night- biding his time till the numbers are many and then they will be turned loose to wreck mayhem, trained killers hunting the night, hunting and killing for sport, little old ladies making their way home from the neighborhood card party will be found bitten and clawed beyond recognition, beer guzzling good 'ol boys will be blindsided on the way out of the tavern, babies snatched from their strollers or young kids from the playground- right from under the watchful eyes of adult supervisors-
Our only chance now, is to reduce the number of breeding age cats BEFORE they get an opportunity to breed with these mutants- to reduce the chances of an explosive growth of winged warriors- consider this a call to arms gentlemen, watchdogs of our future- we must act NOW before it is too late-join forces with chaiokitty and wear your balls on the outside for a change- rev

It is always an election year..... are there any candidates who are aware/admit to the issues of feral cats?
Aren't you interested to see if they have the balls to address is? We're gonna start asking some questions on the behalf of our members..and post the answers!
Question...
April 16, 2007
Senator- could you tell me what your stance is on feral and free roaming cats? There is a federal law which prohibits introducing non-indigenous species into the wild- every time somebody lets their cat outside they are in violation of this federal statute. Cats are NOT considered to be indigenous. I happen to value birds and rabbits much more than a feral or free ranging cat - yet nothing seems to be getting done about it. I realize there are probably more important issues you need to focus on, so what if cats kill all the birds and rabbits? They can't vote - nor can they contribute financially to your campaign. I think I understand now-

Dear Allen:
Thank you for contacting me. I hope you will pardon my delay in responding to you. I appreciate having the benefit of your views and concerns regarding legislation to reduce the number of feral and free-roaming cats. Your input on this matter is helpful to me. As I examine this issue, I will certainly give your views every consideration. Again, thanks for sharing your views with me. Please don't hesitate to let me know how you feel on any issue that concerns you.
Sincerely,

Our Reply...
Madam- perhaps it would be easier to address your concerns if you were a bit more literate- from what I can ascertain from your tirade I imagine all you have been able to do is look at the pictures and have failed miserably in garnering any enlightening information from the university or governmental studies to be found in the links section- there is some very educational and, if actually read, tons of irrefutable documentation to the damage done by feral and free ranging cats to natures balance- I do not expect to win you over to our cause - the only refuge of the functionally illiterate is in ignorance and that, dear madam, is where I believe you reside. I do not know how the laws read in the little dinkwater queerdom where "rubbish" is a word used by the lower class, but here in the mightiest kick your illiterate ass country on planet earth we have RULES pertaining to feral and free ranging felines- in effect, to save you the legalese and a trip through the dictionary, there is a federal mandate PROHIBITING the introduction of NON- INDIGINOUS SPECIES into the wild- what this means is that ANYONE who causes a CAT to be released into the outdoors is in violation of said statute- keep the cat INDOORS or ON A STRING- anything else is not to be tolerated- Perhaps what you should be doing , rather than attempting to take issue with an organization who actually HAS a brain behind it, is to dedicate what is left of your life to a worthy cause- volunteer some time at the local veterinary clinic and help them patch up and care for all the cat crippled animals that misguided feline lovers are responsible for.

Spanky is on a roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The chaiokitty staff is amazed and confused.
We're amazed at the number of people we contact every day who shoot feral cats because they are a significant threat to wildlife, one guy kills an average of one per day, one lost track after killing over a thousand in his hunts. Good job boys!
We're confused at the some other of the people we contact who understand the cause, kill lots of cats, and just want to stay secretive about it.
If the 110,000 members of Pheasants Forever each killed 3 feral cats per year; they have the potential of increasing the pheasant count (and many other animals) by over 5 million......We are proud of our efforts in educating fellow hunters in the impact we can make-please keep killing ferals..be proud telling others you know the damage ferals are doing and help restore the balance-display the chaiokitty logo. Increasing habitat is awesome, but so is decreasing competition.

Some cats are keeping tabs on us!
Thanks Quigley for the photo!

Go to BUY STUFF to get your decal and display your support!

Come on you pussy, can't you see I'm ready, somebody light the fuse! I'm protected with this 3 mil thick foam coffee cup helmet.

Hey Rev, load me up with 2/3 cup of powder when this feline faggot gets out of the cannon-I'm gonna fly over the river!

The new farm bill is being debated and it looks like the wildlife habitat oriented CRP programs are losing support and farm ground will switch to Ethanol production. (Est. 278,000 acre decrease in SD alone) Conservation experts agree that the two most important factors impacting wildlife are:
#1 Habitat
#2 Feral Cats
Hmmm, decrease in habitat for wildlife and population explosion with cats; where do we need to "aim" to restore the balance?
Come on Nancy, get a membership, and help us get rid of the #2 impact.

There is some blogging going on about us and some seem to think we get a bunch of hate mail...our solid arguments on our links page from Audobon Society, American Bird Conservancy, U.S. Fish and Game, Doctors of Veterinary Medicine, Numerous University Studies....etc results in the numbers below:

Here's some contact comments we've gotten through "contact us" and in person:

I saw a clip of a video late one night about conservation. It was a clip from probably the fifties?, anyway, it talked about the dangers of cats outdoors and them killing birds.....we've known about this for a lloooooong time and tried to get the word out. Why are they (cats and their owners) getting away with being a hazard? thanks chaiokitty for trying to educate the public on the dangers of free roaming cats.

A new member told me tonite;"You guys are the best, most honest, up front, advocates for saving animals from a cruel death, preserving nature, in advocating getting rid of a cruel ruthless killer that does not have the right to hunt in the natural environment.....some day people will (publicly) agree with your Cause!!!!!!!!!! You brave sonofabitches deserve a medal from the DNR and every body who gives a shit about wildlife!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Cats eat, shit, sleep, breed, practice hunting, and hunt. They are very good at all of their lofty life goals. If you see a cat outside that is awake, not taking a crap, not screaming from participating in the breeding process-it is looking to screw up the life of some innocent creature that it has no right to interrupt. The so called "animal advocates" can't keep up with three to four litters per year of new ferals-just ask them. The TNRed cats might not breed, but they sure do hunt! Someone has to help restore the balance-Thanks chaiokitty.com standing up for the cause in getting rid of those ^%&%&%^&$.

It can be concluded that if a healthy feral cat destroys 4 pheasant nests per week with 5 chicks in each nest, they could kill 160 pheasants in an 8 week nesting season. If organizations such as the Animal Rescue League want to help rescue some innocent animals from a ruthless killer, they should join chaiokitty.com.

State Regulations on Feral Cats
Researched by your chaiokitty staff
| State |
Answer to email to the state DNR (or equivalent) question “Does your state have any regulations concerning the killing of feral cats” or a reference in their respective written regulations. |
AZ |
Domesticated animals are not covered under our jurisdiction. You would need to contact your local police department or humane society. |
IA |
We afford no protection to feral cats. I would be very careful indiscriminately going down the road shooting cats, as some farmers have free roaming cats to protect farmsteads from rodent populations. |
CO |
Feral cats are not a wildlife species and there is no hunting season for feral cats. Check with your local city or county government about control of feral cats. |
MN |
Page 26 2006 Minnesota Hunting Regulations |
SD |
Feral cats are do not fall under any category for protection, so shooting them is not illegal. They are not hunted as part of any regulated hunting season. There are regulations that prohibit shooting near buildings or in towns that would apply to shooting feral cats. |
IL |
There is nothing in the Wildlife code that addresses domestic cats, feral or other. |
IN |
There are not any hunting regulations against feral cats however, it will be very hard to determine whether or not they are someone's personal property. |
| NE |
No
no regulation in regard to that |
| MO |
No regulations concerning cats in the wildlife code |
| NM |
NM Game & Fish doesn't have any regulations regarding this. You'd need to check with your city or county |
| GA |
DNR doesn't have any regulations on feral cats. You would need to check with the local county animal control to see what their policy is on feral cats. This may differ from county to county |
| KY |
Our department does not have regulatory authority over laws pertaining to domestic animals (even though it’s running around in the wild it is still classified as non-wildlife). You may try to contact your local authorities. |
| OR |
Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife really doesn't have much of a 'Feral Cat" program, it's a private land issue at this point. ODFW does more managing of wildlife and wildlife related programs. For example, hunting, so if you are going to be hunting feral cats, ODFW would advise that you have a hunting license, you obey any trespassing rules, and abide by the rules and regulations governing your city or county in regards to firearms. Also, you may want to be aware that shooting a feral cat could possibly lead to civil charges if that cat is "owned" by someone. We encourage you to contact the Department Of Agriculture at 503-986-4550 for more information on feral cats. We also advise that you get in touch with your city or county government for make sure you are within firearms regulations. Please contact us again with questions |
| KS |
KS has statutes that speak to domestic cats. These are criminal statutes and not wildlife statutes. Our agency does not address domestic or feral cats. Our assistant director of law enforcement suggested you contact your local sheriff office or police dept.since they are the main enforcement agency for enforcing criminal statutes |
| ND |
There are no regulations on feral cats. |
| TX |
This is a matter you need to take up with your local Sheriff or County Clerk's office. We only regulate wildlife species |
| FL |
